16-inch 180Hz gaming laptop

The Acer Nitro V 16 pairs a 16-inch 1920x1200 display running at 180Hz with an Intel Core 9 270H processor that reaches 5.8 GHz max turbo. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 8 GB GDDR7 handles modern titles. The system ships with 64GB DDR5 memory and a 4 TB PCIe SSD for fast load times.

Sustained load behavior

Under continuous gaming the 14-core 20-thread CPU maintains clocks near its 2.7 GHz base while the RTX 5070 8 GB GDDR7 delivers stable frame rates. The 180Hz panel keeps motion sharp during long sessions. Wi-Fi 6 and the RJ-45 port provide reliable network throughput for extended online play.

Installation and common issues

The laptop arrives with the factory seal opened by engineers who install the 64GB DDR5 upgrade and 4 TB PCIe SSD, then test the unit. Buyers receive a ready-to-use Windows 11 Home machine. The only common friction point is remembering to register the separate one-year warranty that covers the upgraded RAM and storage.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Intel Core 9 270H and RTX 5070 get when the 180Hz screen runs all day?

The 14-core processor reaches 5.8 GHz turbo while the RTX 5070 uses 8 GB GDDR7; both are cooled inside a 0.96-inch chassis that weighs 5.3 pounds, so sustained loads stay manageable.

What must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 4 port and the HDMI 2.1 output?

A Thunderbolt 4 cable or dock for the USB-C port and an HDMI 2.1 cable for the 48 Gbps video link; the laptop supplies 65 W charging over USB-C.

Will my older USB 3.2 Gen 1 peripherals work with the three Type-A ports?

Yes, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port all accept legacy devices, and one Gen 2 port keeps charging while the system is off.
