16-inch 3K OLED touchscreen laptop

The Acer Swift 16 combines a 16.0-inch 2880 x 1800 OLED panel with touch input and a 120Hz refresh rate. An Intel Core Ultra 7 256V eight-core processor and integrated Intel Arc graphics drive the system. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD complete the main specification. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Thermals noise and power draw

The chassis measures 14 x 9.8 x 0.65 inches and weighs 3.37 lbs, housing the 8-core CPU with a 4.8 GHz turbo frequency. Integrated Arc graphics share the thermal solution with the processor cores. No discrete GPU is present, so sustained loads remain within the integrated power envelope. Fan behaviour will scale with the combined CPU and graphics workload.

Ports mounting and daily use

Two USB-A 3.2 ports, two Thunderbolt 4 connectors and one HDMI 2.1 output handle peripherals and external displays. A fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard support secure, low-light work. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth provide wireless connectivity. The 1440p QHD IR camera enables facial authentication. No multi-format SD card reader is fitted.

Questions about this item

How do I install an operating system on the 2TB PCIe SSD, and what step do people miss?

Boot from USB media, select the 2TB PCIe SSD as the target, and remember to enable Secure Boot in UEFI so Windows 11 Pro installs correctly.

What maintenance will the 16GB DDR4 memory need later?

The 16GB DDR4 is soldered and not user-replaceable; no upgrade or module swap is possible.

Which limit appears first on the 16.0" 3K OLED 120Hz touchscreen during sustained use?

The 120Hz OLED panel will hit its thermal throttle before the Intel Arc Graphics or the 4.8 GHz turbo ceiling.
