Ready-to-install lamp module

The Acer D612D replacement lamp arrives as a complete bulb-and-housing assembly so it fits directly into compatible Acer projectors without extra assembly. It uses a genuine Osram P-VIP 195W bulb built to ISO9001 quality checks for beam performance, ignition, voltage and run-time. The module is manufactured to the original MC.JN811.001 specification for reliable operation.

Rated life and operating modes

In standard mode the lamp is rated for 5000 hours of use, while the projector's ECO mode extends that figure to 10000 hours. The 195 watt Osram bulb delivers the brightness and colour consistency expected from the original equipment design. These two ratings let the user choose between maximum output or longer intervals between replacements.

Simple swap with no tools required

Installation consists of opening the projector's lamp door, removing the old module and sliding the new unit into place until it seats firmly. No specialised tools or firmware steps are needed. The only common issue is forgetting to reset the projector's lamp-hour counter after the swap, which leaves the replacement reminder active.

Questions about this item

How many hours will the 195W Osram P-VIP bulb last before I need to replace it?

The lamp is rated for 5000 hours in standard mode and 10000 hours in ECO mode, so replacement timing depends on which setting you use.

What component reaches its limit first during long projection sessions?

The 195W Osram P-VIP bulb is the consumable part; its 5000-hour standard or 10000-hour ECO rating is the first limit you will encounter.

Does the 195W lamp generate noticeable heat or fan noise when running all day?

A 195W projector lamp produces significant heat, so the projector’s cooling fans will run continuously during extended use.
