Acer Nitro gaming headset II black 50mm

This wired headset uses 50mm neodymium drivers and connects through either a 3.5mm jack or USB port. The retractable omni-directional microphone includes noise-canceling and an in-line control box for volume and mute. It is built for PC gamers who want a single headset for both communication and audio playback without wireless charging.

Frequency response limited to 100Hz-10KHz

The driver and microphone both cover only 100Hz to 10KHz, so deep bass below 100Hz and high-frequency detail above 10KHz are not reproduced. Impedance sits at 21 ohm with a 15% tolerance, while sensitivity is rated at 115dB at 1KHz. The microphone sensitivity is -42dB, which is adequate for voice chat but not studio recording.

Plug in via 3.5mm or USB and adjust the braided

The 6.89ft braided round cable reaches most desktop setups and the in-line box puts volume and mute at your fingertips. The retractable boom swings up when not in use, but the fixed 3.5mm and USB plugs mean you cannot swap to a single 4-pole connector for consoles without an adapter. No software suite is mentioned for EQ or surround settings.

Questions about this item

Should I use the 3.5mm plug or the USB connection for this headset?

Both are available on the same cable; the 3.5mm jack gives universal analogue audio while the USB link powers the RGB lighting and enables the in-line control box for volume and mute.

What does the 115dB sensitivity mean when I am gaming?

At 1kHz the drivers produce 115dB SPL per milliwatt, so typical PC output levels drive the 50mm neodymium units to loud, clear volume without needing an external amp.

Does the 3.5mm connection limit microphone quality compared with USB?

The retractable omni-directional noise-cancelling microphone runs at -42dB sensitivity and 100Hz-10KHz response over either plug, so voice capture stays consistent whether you use analogue or USB.
