Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Nitro V 15 get when the Core i5-13420H and RTX 4050 run at 4.6 GHz turbo for hours?

The 15.6 inch chassis uses a dual-fan cooling system to move heat from the 8-core CPU and 6 GB GDDR6 GPU; sustained loads push fan speed higher but the 250-nit IPS panel stays within normal operating temperatures.

What must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 4 port at its 40 Gbps rating?

A Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 certified cable and a peripheral that supports 40 Gbps data or DisplayPort 1.4 video; the port also delivers power delivery for charging compatible devices.

Will my older USB 3.2 Gen 1 drives and HDMI 1.4 monitor work at full speed with this laptop?

The three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports run at 5 Gbps so legacy drives operate at their rated speed, and the HDMI 2.1 output is backward compatible with HDMI 1.4 displays at 1080p resolution.
