Acer OCB254 USB4 Cable 3.3m 40Gbps 8K@60Hz 240W

The Acer OCB254 is a USB4 Type-C cable built for professionals who need 40Gbps throughput, 8K video at 60Hz and up to 240W power delivery in a single 3.3-metre braided link. It suits creative workstations, high-resolution displays and fast-charging laptops.

Check your host and display before ordering

Confirm that the source port and the sink device both support USB4 or Thunderbolt 4/3 with 40Gbps signalling and DisplayPort Alt Mode for 8K@60Hz. For 240W charging the power adapter and the end device must implement PD 3.1; lower-wattage chargers will fall back to 100W, 66W, 60W, 40W, 30W, 20W, 18W or 16W negotiation.

Replaces shorter or slower USB-C cables

This cable upgrades from 20Gbps or 10Gbps leads that limit bandwidth, resolution or charging speed, and from shorter 1-metre or 2-metre cables that cannot reach distant docks or monitors. The jump is worth it when you need full 40Gbps data, 8K@60Hz video and 240W power over a 3.3-metre run.

Questions about this item

Does the cable come with any adapters or do I need to buy them separately?

The package contains only the 3.3 m male-to-male USB4 cable; no adapters or extra accessories are included.

Should I pick a different length or is 3.3 m the right choice for a desk-to-monitor run?

The 3.3 m length suits typical desk-to-monitor or laptop-to-dock setups; choose a shorter cable only if you need less slack.

Will I actually see 40 Gbps throughput when the cable is plugged into my laptop and SSD?

The cable is rated for 40 Gbps and Thunderbolt 4/3 compatibility, so it will deliver that bandwidth provided both host and device also support the same speeds.
