Ready-to-install projector lamp module

The Acer X1161A is a new 180W replacement lamp module that ships with the bulb already mounted in its housing. It fits the projectors that use Acer part number EC.K0100.001 and is intended for owners who want a direct swap without handling a bare bulb.

Lamp life and operating modes

In Normal mode the lamp is rated for 2500 hours and in Economy mode for 4000 hours, so actual runtime depends on which brightness setting the projector uses. The 180W P-VIP bulb determines the power draw and heat output, and the projector’s built-in lamp timer will track usage against these limits.

Simple housing swap with version awareness

Installation consists of removing the old housing and inserting the new one, a process the projector’s manual covers in a few steps. The supplier stocks several OEM and compatible versions built to ISO9001 standards, so the exact bulb maker may vary; verify the projector model before ordering to avoid a mismatch.

Questions about this item

What is the difference between the OEM and compatible versions of the X1161A lamp?

Three OEM versions use genuine bulbs from the original manufacturer, Acer's supplier or another OEM brand. The compatible version uses genuine OEM parts from a leading third-party maker. All meet ISO9001 quality standards for performance and run-time.

How many hours will the 180W P-VIP bulb last in normal and economy modes?

The lamp delivers 2,500 hours in normal mode and up to 4,000 hours in economy mode. Actual life depends on usage patterns, ventilation and how often the projector is power-cycled.

Does the EC.K0100.001 module require any separate ballast or driver installation?

No. The module arrives as a fully assembled 180W bulb and housing unit. It installs directly into the projector without any additional ballast, driver or wiring steps.
