6-Inch Stainless Ruler with Cork Base

This Westcott ruler is a compact measuring tool built from flexible stainless steel. It serves students, office workers and hobbyists who need a durable straight edge for everyday marking and layout tasks.

Etched Dual-Scale Graduations

One bevel carries 1/16-inch marks with finer 1/32-inch detail in the first and last inch; the opposite bevel shows metric outlines. The etched markings resist wear and remain legible after repeated use on paper, fabric or drafting film.

Flexible Steel for Curved Work

The thin blade bends to follow contours without permanent deformation, making it practical for pattern drafting and irregular shapes. It stops being useful when a longer reach or a rigid straight edge is required.

Questions about this item

Will the cork base need replacing after heavy use?

The cork backing is bonded to the stainless steel body; it is not designed as a replaceable part.

What stops me from getting accurate readings if I use this ruler all day?

Etched 1/16″ and 1/32″ graduations on one bevel and metric marks on the opposite bevel remain legible because they are cut into the steel, not printed.

Does the ruler get hot or make noise when left on a desk for hours?

Stainless steel with a cork base produces no heat or sound during normal office use.
