What the kit is and who uses it

The Acme United 90566 is a 199-piece Class B Type III first aid kit designed for general-purpose emergency response. It serves workplaces, schools or outdoor sites that need supplies for 50 or more people and want a single compliant package.

Build quality and mounting

A weatherproof hard plastic case protects the contents from moisture and impact. The case is wall mountable and includes a carry handle so the kit can be fixed in a visible location or moved quickly to an incident.

What it replaces and when to upgrade

This kit replaces smaller ANSI Class A kits or ad-hoc assortments that do not meet the 2015 ANSI Z308.1 Class B standard. The jump is worth it when regulations or risk assessments require the broader supply range and higher person-count coverage that Class B provides.

Questions about this item

What does the ANSI Z308.1-2015 Class B standard require this kit to cover?

The ANSI Z308.1-2015 Class B designation means the 199-piece assortment meets the 2015 minimum fill for workplaces with higher risk or larger populations, covering injuries such as major bleeding, burns, and fractures.

What mounting hardware or wall space does the 9-3/16-inch square case need?

The weatherproof plastic case measures 9-3/16 inches wide by 9-3/16 inches deep and includes pre-drilled mounting holes; allow at least that footprint plus clearance for the hinged lid to swing open.

How do you secure the kit to the wall so the handle still works for grab-and-go use?

Mount the case through its integrated wall-mount holes using screws appropriate for the wall material, then verify the carry handle rotates freely and the latch engages before loading the 199 components.
