Eight-speaker indoor outdoor set

The Acoustic Audio 251B pack supplies eight passive speakers designed for indoor and outdoor use. Each unit uses a three-way layout with a 4-inch silver poly woofer, a 2-inch Mylar dome midrange and a 0.5-inch Mylar dome tweeter. Black ABS sealed cabinets resist rain, snow, sun and ice. The set suits whole-house audio, home theatre surrounds or commercial background music.

Spring-loaded terminals and U-brackets

Spring-loaded raw-wire terminals accept stripped speaker cable without tools. Included U-shaped mounting brackets and hardware let you fix each cabinet to walls or ceilings. The installer must supply an amplifier or receiver delivering between 20 and 300 watts per channel and CL3 or raw speaker wire. No active electronics or wireless link are built in.

Frequency response spans 37 Hz to 20 kHz with a rated sensitivity of 99 dB at 8 ohms. Under continuous programme material the drivers handle the full bandwidth without the compression that short bursts can hide.
