Eight-speaker passive set

The Acoustic Audio AA40CB pack supplies eight wired bookshelf speakers for surround-sound or whole-house installations. Each cabinet houses two 4-inch polypropylene woofers and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter in a sealed ABS enclosure. Spring-loaded connectors accept raw speaker wire from any compatible amplifier or receiver. The set is intended for indoor use only.

Suited to multi-room or surround builds

Installers wiring a 7.1 home-theatre system or distributing audio across several zones will find the eight-speaker quantity convenient. Buyers who need powered speakers with built-in amplification or wireless streaming should look elsewhere. The passive design also requires a separate amplifier able to deliver between 20 and 250 watts per channel.

Steady output within rated limits

Frequency response spans 94 Hz to 20 kHz at 94 dB sensitivity with an 8-ohm load. When driven continuously within the recommended 20 to 250 watts per channel, the sealed cabinets maintain consistent tonal balance without compression. Exceeding the upper power figure risks thermal stress on the voice coils during extended sessions.
