Acoustic Audio AA40CB 7 Speaker Set home audio speaker

Seven-Speaker Home Theater Set

The Acoustic Audio AA40CB is a seven-piece passive speaker package built for surround-sound installations in living rooms, whole-house audio zones or commercial spaces. Each cabinet houses two 4-inch polypropylene woofers and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter in a two-way layout. The system draws power from any amplifier or receiver with raw speaker-wire outputs rated between 20 and 250 watts per channel. Buyers who need powered speakers or wireless streaming should look elsewhere.

Wired Passive Connectivity

The box contains seven identical bookshelf speakers and an instruction manual; no cables, wall brackets or calibration microphone are supplied. Spring-loaded raw-wire terminals on each cabinet accept CL3 or bare speaker wire for a permanent, tool-free connection. Because the speakers are passive, the amplifier you choose determines volume headroom, tonal balance and any room-correction processing. Installers who expect HDMI, optical or Bluetooth inputs will not find them here.

Compact Sealed Cabinets

Black ABS sealed enclosures measure 5.75 by 15.625 by 5.75 inches each, allowing placement on shelves, stands or wall mounts without a large footprint. The sealed alignment yields a frequency response of 94 Hz to 20 kHz at 94 dB sensitivity and 8-ohm nominal impedance. Cabinets are not weather-rated, so outdoor or humid environments must be avoided. Users who require deeper bass extension below 94 Hz will need a separate subwoofer.
