Campaign scope

Call of Duty: Vanguard is a first-person shooter from Activision built for Xbox One players who want a World War II setting across multiple theatres. The single-player campaign follows an international squad through Pacific air combat, French airdrops, Stalingrad sniping and North African armoured pushes. Model 88520 carries an ESRB Mature rating for intense violence and strong language. It is not for buyers who want a modern or near-future military setting.

Warzone integration

After launch the title adds a new Call of Duty Warzone integration that extends the multiplayer ecosystem beyond the base maps. Progression and content carry between the two experiences so time invested in one mode feeds the other. The download packaging means the full game installs directly to the console without a disc. Players who prefer physical media or offline-only play will not be served by this format.

Digital setup

Installation begins as soon as the licence is redeemed on the Xbox store; no disc drive or code card is required. The download size is large so a reliable broadband connection is needed to avoid stalled installs. Accounts without an active Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Core subscription cannot access the online multiplayer or Warzone components. Buyers who need split-screen local play should verify support before purchase.
