USB Micro-B Breakout Board

The Adafruit USB Micro-B Breakout Board is a compact engineering development tool that provides a micro-B connector with all five pins broken out to 0.1 inch headers. It arrives fully assembled and tested so developers can immediately integrate USB connectivity or 5 V power into a microcontroller project. A short stick of header pins is included for breadboard use. The board measures 10 mm by 20 mm by 4 mm and weighs 0.64 g.

Five-pin access and power delivery

All five USB Micro-B pins are exposed, giving direct access to VBUS, D-, D+, ID and ground for custom firmware or diagnostic work. The VBUS line supplies 5 V power to the target circuit, convenient for low-current prototypes. Through-hole shielding pads reinforce the connector against accidental cable strain. The tiny 1 mm profile without the connector keeps the assembly low inside enclosures.

Replaces hand-wired USB connectors
