24-Core Threadripper Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 24-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9960X processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory for professional workloads. The system targets engineers, researchers and content creators who need high core counts and error-correcting RAM in a single chassis.

360mm AIO and TRX50 Connectivity

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO cooler handles the CPU while the Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard provides rear USB4 Type-C, multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports plus eight SATA and four M.2 connectors mid-board. The Corsair 5000D Frame case adds front-panel USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Type-C and audio alongside internal bays for two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch drives.

1200W Gold PSU and 10GbE LAN

The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W 80 PLUS Gold supply uses Japanese main capacitors and a 140mm fan for low-noise delivery with over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection. A Marvell AQtion AQC113C controller provides 10GbE networking while the Nvidia RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell 16GB GPU handles visual compute tasks.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation and lane width does the 1TB NVMe SSD use, and what speeds does that cap at?

The Samsung 990 PRO runs on a PCIe 4.0 x4 link, topping out at 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes.

What motherboard form factor and case clearance does the 360 mm liquid cooler need?

The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D is an E-ATX board and the Corsair 5000D Frame case fits a 360 mm radiator in the front.

How is the 256 GB DDR5 ECC memory installed, and which slot order do people often get wrong?

Populate the eight DDR5 slots in the motherboard's prescribed quad-channel sequence — usually the four black slots first, then the four grey — to enable full ECC bandwidth.
