64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This new tower workstation pairs a 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X processor with 128GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It targets professionals who need sustained multi-threaded throughput for rendering, simulation or large-scale data analysis. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply.

Liquid Cooling Under Sustained Load

A 360mm quiet-edition liquid cooler handles the CPU thermal output during extended workloads rather than brief bursts. Two front and rear 120mm case fans plus a 140mm power-supply fan maintain airflow through the Corsair 5000D FRAME chassis. The motherboard uses a TRX50 AERO D platform with a Socket sTR5 interface.

Storage Interface Practical Limits

The boot volume uses a 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive rated up to 7450 MB/sec read and 6900 MB/sec write over PCIe 4.0x4. A second 4TB NVMe drive adds identical peak speeds for active project storage. A 10TB SATA III hard drive with 256MB cache provides bulk capacity at mechanical-drive throughput.

Questions about this item

How quiet is the 360 mm liquid cooler and 140 mm PSU fan during all-day workloads?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO and the Thermaltake 1200 W PSU with its ultra-quiet 140 mm fan are both specified for low noise, keeping acoustics down while the 64-core Threadripper 9980X sustains heavy compute.

Does the workstation include a display or must I supply my own monitor?

No display is included; the RTX PRO 4500 32GB GPU provides video outputs, so you will need to connect your own monitor.

Can the dual 10 Gb LAN ports and USB4 Type-C ports talk to my existing 1 Gb switch and USB 3.0 peripherals?

Yes, the two LAN ports and the rear USB4 Type-C ports are backward compatible with 1 Gb Ethernet and USB 3.0 devices you already own.
