64-Core Threadripper PRO Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9985WX processor with 128GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. It is built for professionals who need maximum multi-threaded compute and GPU acceleration in a single system. The 360mm AIO cooler keeps the 64-core CPU stable under sustained loads.

TRX50 Platform and Power Requirements

The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard uses the sTR5 socket and provides four M.2 slots, eight SATA ports and extensive USB connectivity including USB4. A 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply is installed, so verify that your mains circuit can deliver sufficient current for this unit. The chassis measures 520mm deep, 245mm wide and 520mm high.

Corsair 5000D Frame Build Quality

The tempered-glass case includes front and rear 120mm fans alongside the 360mm radiator mount, with a 140mm PSU fan for quiet operation. Front-panel I/O offers USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Type-C and audio jacks, while the rear adds two USB4 ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. Internal bays support two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch drives for further expansion.

Questions about this item

What comes inside the box and what must I add myself?

The workstation ships fully assembled with a 64-core Threadripper PRO 9985WX, 128GB DDR5 ECC, three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives totalling 10TB, a 10TB SATA HDD, an RTX 5080 16GB card, a 360mm liquid CPU cooler, a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and Windows 11 Pro. No extra parts are required for operation.

How do I choose between the three NVMe drives listed?

The first drive is a 2TB Samsung 990 PRO; the second and third are each 4TB Samsung 990 PRO. All three use PCIe 4.0 x4 with identical read speeds up to 7450 MB/s and write speeds up to 6900 MB/s. Pick the 2TB unit for the OS and active projects; use the two 4TB units for large data sets or scratch space.

What does the 5.4 GHz boost figure mean once the system is running real workloads?

The 5.4 GHz is the maximum single-core boost clock of the 9985WX. Under sustained all-core loads the 64 cores will run at lower frequencies limited by the 360mm liquid cooler and the 1200W power budget, so expect base-clock behaviour for long renders or simulations.
