Target Workload

The Adamant Custom workstation is built for professionals who need 64 cores and 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory in a single desktop. It suits simulation, rendering and AI workloads that demand high core counts and large memory capacity. Buyers who only need mainstream core counts or consumer-grade memory will find this system overspecified.

Deciding Specification

The CPU is a 64-core Threadripper PRO 9985WX running at 3.2GHz with up to 5.4GHz boost and 256MB L3 cache on Socket sTR5. This core count and memory bandwidth combination determines whether the workstation fits the workload; systems with fewer cores or non-ECC memory cannot match the same parallel throughput.

Bundled Impact

Two Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives (2TB and 4TB) deliver read speeds up to 7450 MB/sec and write speeds up to 6900 MB/sec for active projects, while a 10TB SATA HDD adds bulk storage. The RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell 48GB GPU provides certified driver support for professional visualisation and compute. A 1600W 80+ Titanium PSU and 360mm liquid cooler sustain the platform under continuous load.

Questions about this item

How does the 64-core Threadripper PRO 9985WX perform inside a real workstation?

The processor delivers 64 cores and 128 threads with a base clock of 3.2 GHz and a maximum boost of 5.4 GHz, supported by a 360 mm liquid cooler that keeps thermals stable under sustained multi-threaded workloads.

What PCIe generation do the M.2 slots use and what speed does that cap the Samsung 990 PRO drives at?

The TRX50 AERO D motherboard provides PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 connectors, limiting each Samsung 990 PRO to sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s.

What physical clearance does the 360 mm liquid cooler need inside the Corsair 5000D FRAME case?

The case measures 520 mm deep, 245 mm wide and 520 mm high, with front and rear 120 mm fan mounts that accommodate the 360 mm radiator and its fans.
