64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This Adamant Custom workstation pairs a 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X running at 3.2 GHz with 256 GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It is built for professionals who need sustained multi-threaded throughput in a single desktop chassis.

Suited for deep-learning training

The system includes an Nvidia RTX 5090 with 32 GB of video memory and a 4 TB NVMe Samsung 990 PRO boot drive plus a 10 TB SATA hard drive for bulk data. Buyers who need more than one GPU or who require a rack-mount form factor should look at a different platform.

256 GB DDR5 ECC memory capacity

The installed 256 GB of DDR5 ECC RAM sets the practical limit for in-memory datasets and concurrent virtual machines. If your workload demands more memory than this, the workstation will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 256 GB DDR5 ECC RAM or the 4 TB NVMe SSD for my workload?

The 256 GB DDR5 ECC memory feeds the 64-core Threadripper 9980X directly, while the 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive handles OS and active project storage at up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write.

What does the 3.2 GHz base clock on the 64-core Threadripper 9980X deliver in this build?

The 3.2 GHz base clock scales up to 5.4 GHz across 64 cores and 128 threads, cooled by a 360 mm liquid cooler, so sustained multi-threaded workloads stay at high frequency without thermal throttling.

How does the PCIe 4.0 x4 link on the NVMe slot limit the Samsung 990 PRO?

The drive runs at PCIe 4.0 x4, capping sequential reads at 7450 MB/s and writes at 6900 MB/s; a PCIe 5.0 slot would be faster but is not present on this WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboard.
