Workstation for AI and compute

This 24-core Threadripper 9960X system targets professionals running large-scale simulations, rendering pipelines and AI workloads. The 128GB DDR5 ECC memory and 10TB of combined NVMe plus HDD storage support datasets that exceed typical desktop capacity. Windows 11 Pro provides a familiar environment for certified applications.

Sustained load behaviour

A 360mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU at stable clocks during extended multi-threaded runs rather than throttling after a short burst. Three Samsung 990 PRO drives deliver sequential reads up to 7450 MB/sec and writes up to 6900 MB/sec across the full 10TB NVMe array. The RTX 5080 16GB GPU adds parallel compute headroom for mixed CPU-GPU workflows.

Thermals noise and power

The Corsair 5000D case moves air through front and rear 120mm fans while the AIO radiator handles CPU heat separately. A Thermaltake 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit with a 140mm low-noise fan supplies overhead for continuous full-system draw. Japanese capacitors and full protection circuits maintain clean delivery under variable load.

Questions about this item

How loud is the 360 mm liquid cooler and 140 mm PSU fan when the 24-core Threadripper 9960X runs at 4.2 GHz all day?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO and the Thermaltake 1200 W Gold PSU with its 140 mm fan are both specified for ultra-quiet operation, keeping noise low even under sustained 24-core loads.

What display cable and monitor port do I need for the RTX 5080 16 GB to work?

The RTX 5080 16 GB uses standard DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, so a matching cable and a monitor with one of those inputs are all that is required.

Can I keep my existing SATA III 3.5-inch drives in the four internal 3.5-inch bays?

Yes, the motherboard provides eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports and the case includes four 3.5-inch bays, so current SATA III drives fit and connect directly.
