24-Core Threadripper Workstation

This liquid-cooled desktop pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X processor with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory for multi-threaded professional workloads. The system targets engineers, content creators and data scientists who need high core counts and error-correcting memory in a single-socket platform.

6TB NVMe plus 10TB HDD storage

Two Samsung 990 PRO drives deliver 6TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe capacity with sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s. A 10TB SATA III hard drive with 256MB cache adds bulk storage, though the NVMe pool may fill quickly with large simulation datasets or 8K media projects.

RTX 5070 12GB graphics card

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 provides 12GB of video memory for GPU-accelerated rendering, compute and AI tasks. Workloads requiring more VRAM or multiple GPUs will exceed this single-card configuration.

Questions about this item

Will the TRX50 motherboard and 1200W PSU support the 24-core Threadripper 9960X if I keep my existing PCIe add-in cards?

The board provides four M.2 slots, eight SATA 6Gb/s ports and multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 headers, while the 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit delivers ample headroom for the 9960X and RTX 5070 together with additional cards.

How can I verify the 512GB DDR5 ECC memory and dual Samsung 990 PRO SSDs are running at advertised speeds after first boot?

Open Task Manager or HWInfo to confirm 512GB detected at DDR5 ECC speeds, then run CrystalDiskMark on each M.2 drive; you should see sequential reads near 7450 MB/s and writes near 6900 MB/s on both the 2TB and 4TB 990 PRO units.

Which drives, cooler and power supply ship inside the Corsair 5000D case, and what must I provide myself?

The system arrives with the 360mm liquid cooler, Threadripper 9960X, 512GB DDR5 ECC, 2TB and 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSDs, 10TB SATA HDD, RTX 5070 12GB GPU, 1200W Gold PSU and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed; only a monitor, keyboard and mouse are required separately.
