Built for AI-ready workstation workloads

This 24-core liquid-cooled tower runs an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9960X at 4.2 GHz with 128 GB DDR5 ECC memory. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on fast NVMe storage. The configuration targets professionals who need high core counts and ECC reliability for compute-intensive tasks.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

A 360 mm quiet-edition AIO cooler handles the Threadripper 9960X while a Thermaltake Toughpower 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold unit supplies power with a 140 mm low-noise fan. The Corsair 5000D Frame case adds front and rear 120 mm fans for steady airflow under sustained loads.

GPU memory and storage layout decide fit

The Nvidia Geforce RTX 5060 provides 8 GB VRAM alongside 6 TB of Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD capacity split across 2 TB and 4 TB drives. A 10 TB SATA III HDD adds bulk capacity. Buyers who need more GPU memory or additional NVMe slots should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler on the Threadripper 9960X and what step is often missed?

Mount the 360 mm radiator with its three 120 mm fans in the Corsair 5000D front panel, connect the pump to the CPU_FAN header and the fans to SYS_FAN headers, then set the pump to full speed in BIOS — the step most people miss is plugging the pump into the dedicated CPU_FAN header instead of a generic fan header.

What maintenance will the 360 mm liquid cooler and 10 TB SATA drive need later?

The sealed 360 mm AIO requires no coolant refill; only clean radiator fins and verify fan operation every 6–12 months. The 10 TB SATA drive with 256 MB cache has no user-serviceable parts — monitor SMART health in Windows 11 Pro and replace the drive if reallocated sectors appear.

What limit appears first during sustained all-core loads on the 24-core 4.2 GHz Threadripper 9960X?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition cooler will hit its thermal dissipation ceiling before the CPU reaches its 5.3 GHz boost, causing clock speeds to settle at the all-core turbo level once coolant temperature stabilises.
