32-Core Threadripper Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower workstation is built around a 32-core AMD Threadripper 9970X processor with 64 threads and a 5.4 GHz boost clock. It ships with 128GB of DDR5 ECC memory and Windows 11 Pro installed. The system targets professionals who need high core counts and error-correcting memory for demanding compute workloads.

Dual NVMe and SATA Storage Limits

The platform provides two M.2 slots populated with Samsung 990 PRO drives totalling 6TB of NVMe storage over PCIe 4.0 x4. A 10TB SATA III hard drive adds bulk capacity. Builders who need more than two bootable NVMe devices or faster-than-SATA mechanical throughput must look elsewhere.

RTX 5060 8GB GPU Constraint

The installed Nvidia RTX 5060 carries 8GB of video memory. That frame-buffer size limits the resolution and texture complexity practical for GPU-accelerated rendering or large-model AI inference. Buyers whose workflows exceed 8GB of VRAM will need a different graphics card.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2TB or 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive as my primary boot volume?

The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO runs at up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write over PCIe 4.0x4, matching the 4TB model. Choose the 2TB for OS and active projects; the 4TB adds capacity for larger datasets without speed loss.

What does the Threadripper 9970X 4.0 GHz base clock deliver once the 360 mm liquid cooler is fitted?

The 32-core, 64-thread Threadripper 9970X sustains 4.0 GHz base and can boost up to 5.4 GHz across all cores while the 360 mm AIO keeps thermals in check during extended render or simulation workloads.

How fast can the dual NVMe drives actually move data through the TRX50 AERO motherboard?

Each Samsung 990 PRO connects via PCIe 4.0x4 M.2 slots on the TRX50 AERO, so sequential reads hit 7450 MB/s and writes 6900 MB/s per drive, limited by the PCIe 4.0 interface rather than the drives themselves.
