Threadripper PRO 9975WX Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 32-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9975WX at 4.0 GHz with 64 GB DDR5 ECC memory. A 360 mm AIO cooler keeps the processor stable under heavy multi-threaded loads. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and dual LAN ports for redundant networking. It targets professionals who need sustained CPU throughput and error-correcting memory.

Storage mix for active projects and archives

Two Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives deliver 6 TB combined capacity at up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write speeds. A 10 TB SATA III hard drive with 256 MB cache adds bulk storage for less-frequent data. Builders who require more than 6 TB of high-speed flash or who need a second GPU for compute should consider a different chassis.

Sustained load behaviour

The 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and 360 mm liquid cooler are sized for continuous all-core operation at up to 5.4 GHz boost. Front and rear 120 mm case fans maintain airflow through the Corsair 5000D Frame during extended renders or simulations. The RTX 5060 8 GB handles display output and light GPU acceleration without becoming a thermal bottleneck.

Questions about this item

What motherboard socket must my existing CPU cooler support to fit this Threadripper PRO 9975WX?

The CPU uses the sTR5 socket, so any cooler you keep must list sTR5 mounting compatibility.

Will the 10 TB SATA III hard drive work alongside the two NVMe SSDs without extra cables?

The motherboard provides eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports and the case includes internal 3.5" bays, so the drive connects directly.

How can I confirm the 64 GB DDR5 ECC memory is running in eight-channel mode after first boot?

Open Windows Task Manager or BIOS and verify the memory speed shows eight channels active for the installed 64 GB DDR5 ECC kit.
