Purpose-built workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper 9980X with 64GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX A400 4GB GPU. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and targets professionals running multi-threaded simulations, large dataset analysis or parallel rendering pipelines.

Build integration

The system occupies a Corsair 5000D FRAME chassis measuring 520 x 245 x 520 mm and draws power from a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold PSU with Japanese capacitors. A 360 mm AIO cooler handles the CPU while front and rear 120 mm fans move air through the case. The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard provides two USB4 Type-C ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2, four USB 3.2 Gen 1, plus mid-board headers for additional USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB 2.0, eight SATA 6Gb/s and four M.2 connectors. Dual LAN ports and rear-panel audio complete the I/O.

Sustained-load behaviour

Two Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSDs (2 TB and 4 TB) deliver sequential reads up to 7450 MB/sec and writes up to 6900 MB/sec for scratch-space bandwidth that does not throttle. A 10 TB SATA HDD with 256 MB cache adds bulk capacity for archival data. The 360 mm liquid loop and 140 mm PSU fan are specified for low-noise operation during extended compute runs.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler keep the 64-core Threadripper 9980X from throttling during all-day rendering?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO is matched to the 9980X and the case front and rear fans move air through the radiator, so sustained multi-core loads stay within thermal limits.

How loud is the system when the 1200 W PSU and GPU fans run continuously?

The PSU uses a 140 mm low-noise fan and the 360 mm AIO is a Quiet Edition model, so acoustic output remains low even under full load.

Does the workstation arrive with Windows 11 Pro already installed and licensed?

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO boot drive and activated out of the box.
