Liquid-cooled Threadripper workstation

This Adamant Custom tower pairs a 24-core Threadripper PRO 9965WX with 128GB DDR5 ECC memory and an RTX PRO 4500 32GB GPU. It targets professionals running simulation, rendering or AI workloads that demand high core counts and large frame buffers. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro installed.

360mm AIO cooler and 1200W Gold PSU

A 360mm quiet-edition liquid loop keeps the CPU at 4.2GHz base up to 5.3GHz boost while the 140mm PSU fan runs at low noise under load. The Thermaltake 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit delivers overhead for the GPU and storage array. Dual 120mm case fans handle chassis airflow.

TRX50 AERO D motherboard with dual M.2 and 10TB HDD

The Gigabyte board provides two NVMe Samsung 990 PRO drives totalling 6TB plus a 10TB SATA HDD with 256MB cache. Four 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch bays remain open for expansion. Rear I/O includes two USB4 Type-C ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four USB 3.2 Gen 1.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm AIO liquid cooler in the Corsair 5000D Frame case, and what step is often missed?

Mount the 360 mm radiator to the front or top panel using the included brackets, then connect the pump header and the 140 mm fan to the motherboard; the step often missed is removing the protective film from the cold-plate before seating it on the Threadripper PRO 9965WX.

Which components will need maintenance or replacement first on this workstation?

The 120 mm front and 140 mm rear case fans plus the 140 mm PSU fan are the only moving parts besides the AIO pump; plan to clean dust filters every 6–12 months and replace any fan that develops bearing noise.

What limit appears first under sustained heavy load on this system?

The 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU sets the overall power ceiling; if combined CPU and GPU draw approaches that rating, the supply will hit its over-power protection before the 360 mm AIO or case airflow become the bottleneck.
