24-Core Threadripper PRO Workstation

This liquid-cooled desktop pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9965WX processor with 256 GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It targets professionals who need sustained multi-threaded throughput for rendering, simulation or large-scale data analysis. The 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold supply and 360 mm AIO cooler keep the CPU within thermal limits during extended workloads.

PCIe 4.0 NVMe and SATA III Storage Limits

Two Samsung 990 PRO drives deliver up to 7 450 MB/s reads and 6 900 MB/s writes over four-lane PCIe 4.0, while the 10 TB hard drive runs on SATA III at 6 Gb/s. The motherboard provides four M.2 slots and eight SATA ports, so further expansion is bounded by those lane and port counts rather than by drive form factor.

16 GB RTX 5080 VRAM Ceiling

The installed GeForce RTX 5080 brings 16 GB of video memory, which caps the maximum model size or texture set that fits entirely on the GPU. Buyers whose datasets exceed that frame-buffer will see paging to system memory and should plan for a card with a larger VRAM allocation.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2 TB or 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO for my primary NVMe drive?

The 4 TB unit gives twice the capacity at the same 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write speeds, so choose it if you need more space for active projects.

What does the 4.2 GHz base clock on the Threadripper PRO 9965WX mean when the CPU is under sustained load?

The 24-core processor runs at 4.2 GHz base and can boost up to 5.3 GHz, delivering 48 threads for heavy multi-threaded workloads.

How does the PCIe 4.0 x4 link on the M.2 slots cap real-world SSD throughput?

Each Samsung 990 PRO is limited to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write by the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface.
