Workstation identity

This Adamant Custom workstation is built around a 24-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9965WX processor running at 4.2 GHz with a 5.3 GHz maximum boost. It targets professionals who need high multi-threaded throughput for rendering, simulation or AI-ready workloads. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and 256 GB of DDR5 ECC memory for error-corrected stability.

Setup checklist

Verify that your workspace can accommodate a chassis measuring 520 mm deep, 245 mm wide and 520 mm high with tempered-glass side panels. The motherboard provides two LAN ports, two USB4 Type-C ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports at the rear, plus additional internal headers. Three M.2 slots are already populated with Samsung 990 PRO drives totalling 10 TB of NVMe storage.

Thermals and power

A 360 mm quiet-edition liquid cooler handles the CPU while a 140 mm fan in the 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold power supply keeps internal airflow low-noise. The case includes one 120 mm intake and one 120 mm exhaust fan for supplementary circulation. The PSU offers over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection for reliable delivery under sustained load.

Questions about this item

What comes in the Corsair 5000D case and what must I add?

The workstation ships fully assembled with the Threadripper PRO 9965WX, 256 GB DDR5 ECC, three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSDs totalling 10 TB, a 10 TB SATA HDD, an RTX A400 4 GB GPU, a 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and a 360 mm liquid cooler. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. No extra parts are required.

Should I pick the 2 TB or 4 TB NVMe version for the boot drive?

The first M.2 slot holds a 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO rated at 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write. The second and third slots each hold a 4 TB 990 PRO with the same speeds. Use the 2 TB drive for the OS and active projects; add the 4 TB drives for larger datasets.

What does the 4.2 GHz base clock mean once the CPU is under load?

The 24-core Threadripper PRO 9965WX runs at a 4.2 GHz base frequency and can boost up to 5.3 GHz across its 48 threads. The 360 mm liquid cooler and 1200 W Gold PSU keep thermals and power delivery stable during sustained multi-threaded workloads.
