Workstation for 24-core Threadripper workloads

This Adamant Custom workstation centres on a 24-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9965WX running at 4.2 GHz with a 5.3 GHz boost and 128 MB L3 cache. The 48-thread processor is cooled by a 360 mm liquid cooler inside a Corsair 5000D Frame case. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the platform.

Dual NVMe SSDs and ECC memory change data handling

Two Samsung 990 PRO drives provide 6 TB of combined NVMe storage with sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s. A 10 TB SATA hard drive adds 256 MB cache bulk capacity. The 512 GB DDR5 ECC memory kit protects data integrity during long compute runs.

Check case clearance and Mini DisplayPort needs

The Corsair 5000D Frame measures 520 x 245 x 520 mm and holds two 3.5-inch plus four 2.5-inch internal bays. The RTX A400 4 GB GPU outputs only through four Mini DisplayPort connectors. The 1200 W 80 Plus Gold PSU uses a 140 mm fan and includes over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler need coolant replacement or pump service later?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO is a sealed unit; no coolant refills are required, and the pump is rated for continuous operation without scheduled maintenance.

What thermal limit appears first when all 24 cores run at 5.3 GHz for hours?

The CPU will hit its 5.3 GHz boost ceiling and throttle before the 360 mm AIO or 1200 W PSU reach their limits.

How loud and hot does the system get with the 1200 W PSU and 360 mm AIO running all day?

The 140 mm PSU fan and AIO radiator fans are specified as ultra-quiet; waste heat exits through the Corsair 5000D case without raising ambient noise above a low hum.
