32-Core Threadripper PRO Workstation

This new tower workstation is built around a 32-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9975WX processor running at 4.0 GHz with up to 5.4 GHz boost. It targets professionals who need high multi-threaded compute for rendering, simulation or AI workloads. The system includes 128 GB of DDR5 ECC memory and a GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB graphics card. Liquid cooling handles the CPU thermal load.

6 TB NVMe plus 10 TB HDD storage

Two Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives provide 6 TB of fast PCIe 4.0 storage with sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s. A 10 TB SATA hard drive with 256 MB cache adds bulk capacity for archives and media. The combination covers active project space and long-term retention. Builds needing more than 6 TB of high-speed NVMe will require additional drives.

TRX50 platform connectivity limits

The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard supplies rear USB4 Type-C ports, multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports, plus internal USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 headers. It also provides eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports and four M.2 connectors. Expansion beyond these onboard interfaces will need add-in cards. The 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold power supply sets the total system power ceiling.

Questions about this item

Will the Threadripper PRO 9975WX 32-core CPU fit my existing sTR5 motherboard if I move it later?

The processor uses the sTR5 socket, so it is mechanically compatible with any sTR5 board, though the workstation ships on a Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D and the cooler mounting may differ.

How can I verify the 360 mm liquid cooler is running correctly after first boot?

Check that the pump RPM appears in BIOS or monitoring software and that CPU temperatures stay well below the 5.4 GHz boost ceiling under sustained load.

Which drives and accessories are included versus what I must source myself?

The box contains a 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO, a 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO, a 10 TB SATA HDD, 128 GB DDR5 ECC RAM, the RTX 5080 16 GB GPU, 1200 W PSU, Corsair 5000D case and Windows 11 Pro; no extra parts are required.
