64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This liquid-cooled desktop pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9985WX processor with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and targets engineers, researchers and studios that need sustained multi-threaded throughput for simulation, rendering or large-model training.

TRX50 Platform with Dual LAN

The GIGABYTE TRX50 AERO D motherboard provides four M.2 slots, eight SATA ports and two rear LAN connections. A 1200W 80 PLUS Gold supply powers the CPU, GPU and ten drive bays while the 360mm AIO cooler keeps the 64-core chip at operating temperature without excessive noise.

Samsung 990 PRO NVMe and RTX PRO 2000

A 2TB and a 4TB Samsung 990 PRO SSD deliver sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s for active project files. The 10TB SATA hard drive adds bulk capacity. The Nvidia RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell 16GB GPU accelerates professional visualisation and AI-assisted workflows.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler keep the 64-core Threadripper PRO 9985WX from throttling during sustained all-core workloads?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO is designed for the 9985WX 3.2 GHz base clock and 5.4 GHz boost, providing continuous heat removal so the 64 cores and 128 threads can maintain performance under prolonged load.

How loud is the system when the 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and 140 mm fan run continuously?

The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200 W unit uses a 140 mm ultra-quiet fan and Japanese capacitors, while the 360 mm AIO and case fans are Quiet Edition models, keeping acoustic output low during 24/7 operation.

Does the Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard require any extra cables or adapters for the two Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives?

Both the 2 TB and 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO SSDs install directly into the board's four M.2 connectors using PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes, so no additional cables or adapters are needed.
