64-core Threadripper PRO workstation

The Adamant Custom system pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9985WX processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 graphics card equipped with 96GB of video memory. It is built for professionals who need maximum multi-threaded compute and large GPU memory capacity for simulation, rendering or AI workloads.

Liquid-cooled installation and drive population

The CPU is cooled by a 360mm AIO liquid cooler pre-installed in a Corsair 5000D FRAME case that already holds three Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSDs totalling 10TB and a 10TB SATA III hard drive. All drive bays and M.2 slots on the Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard are occupied, so adding further internal storage requires removing an existing drive or using external enclosures.

PCIe 4.0 storage and dual LAN limits

The three NVMe SSDs each deliver up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write over PCIe 4.0 x4, while the hard drive runs at SATA III speeds. The motherboard provides two LAN ports for network redundancy but no faster onboard networking, so 10 GbE or higher connectivity would need an add-in card.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 64-core Threadripper PRO 9985WX is running at its 3.2 GHz base clock and 5.4 GHz boost after setup?

Open Task Manager or HWMonitor to confirm 64 cores and 128 threads are detected, then watch the frequency climb to 5.4 GHz under load while the 360 mm liquid cooler keeps temperatures stable.

What storage drives and memory are already installed, and what must I add separately?

The workstation ships with 256 GB DDR5 ECC RAM, a 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe, two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives, and a 10 TB SATA III HDD — no extra storage or memory is required unless you need more capacity.

Which GPU option matches AI workloads that need 96 GB of video memory?

The configured Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell with 96 GB VRAM is the only GPU listed; it is purpose-built for large-model training and inference on this platform.
