Built for multi-threaded workloads

This workstation pairs a 24-core Threadripper 9960X with 512 GB of DDR5 ECC memory and a 16 GB RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell GPU. The platform targets professionals who run simulation, rendering or large-scale data analysis on a single desktop chassis. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and the system ships new from the builder.

Replaces slower dual-socket boxes

Moving from an older multi-socket server to this single-socket desktop cuts platform complexity while keeping 48 threads and 128 MB of L3 cache. The jump is worth it when workloads fit within 512 GB of RAM and benefit from the CPU’s 4.2 GHz base clock and 5.3 GHz boost. Two NVMe drives at 7 450 MB/s read and 6 900 MB/s write replace slower SATA arrays for active project storage.

Sustained load on liquid cooling

A 360 mm quiet-edition AIO keeps the 24-core CPU near its boost clocks during long compiles or overnight renders. The Thermaltake 1 200 W 80 PLUS Gold supply and Corsair 5000D Frame case with front and rear 120 mm fans maintain stable thermals without fan ramping. Ten terabytes of SATA III HDD space remains available for cold data while the NVMe pool handles the working set.

Questions about this item

Will the 520 mm deep Corsair 5000D FRAME case fit on my desk?

The case measures 520 mm deep, 245 mm wide and 520 mm high; check your available desk depth and clearance before ordering.

Which step is often missed when installing the 360 mm liquid cooler on the Threadripper 9960X?

The sTR5 socket requires the supplied offset mounting bracket; skipping it leaves the cold plate misaligned and causes high temperatures.

When should I plan to replace the 120 mm and 140 mm fans in this workstation?

Expect to swap the front 120 mm, rear 120 mm and PSU 140 mm fans after several years of continuous operation when noise or airflow drops.
