24-Core Threadripper Workstation

This workstation ships with a 24-core AMD Threadripper 9960X processor and 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory. It targets professionals who need sustained multi-threaded throughput for rendering, simulation or data science workloads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the primary NVMe drive.

Upgrade from older TRX40 or dual-socket builds

The 24-core CPU delivers up to 5.3 GHz boost with 128MB L3 cache, replacing systems that relied on lower core counts or slower memory. The jump is worth it when projects exceed 128GB RAM or require PCIe 4.0 storage bandwidth across three Samsung 990 PRO drives totalling 10TB NVMe capacity.

Fits a TRX50 AERO D motherboard in a 520 mm deep

The GIGABYTE board provides four M.2 slots, eight SATA ports and dual USB4 Type-C rear ports. A 360mm liquid cooler and 1200W 80 PLUS Gold PSU handle the thermal and power envelope. Builders who need more than two LAN ports or additional 3.5-inch bays should verify the Corsair 5000D FRAME layout before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the 520 mm deep Corsair 5000D Frame case fit on my desk?

The case measures 520 mm deep, 245 mm wide and 520 mm high, so check your available desk depth before ordering.

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler on the Threadripper 9960X without bending the sTR5 socket pins?

Mount the radiator to the case first, then lower the cold plate straight onto the CPU and tighten the four corner screws in a cross pattern to keep pressure even.

When should I plan to replace the 1200 W Thermaltake Toughpower PSU in this workstation?

With an 80 PLUS Gold rating and Japanese main capacitors, the unit typically lasts 7 to 10 years under heavy workstation loads before efficiency drops enough to warrant replacement.
