Adamant Custom Threadripper Workstation

The Adamant Custom workstation pairs a 24-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9965WX processor with 256GB of DDR5 ECC memory for professional workloads. A 360mm liquid cooler manages thermals while dual NVMe SSDs totalling 6TB and a 10TB SATA hard drive provide tiered storage. Windows 11 Pro ships pre-installed on a system built for compute-intensive tasks.

TRX50 platform I/O and storage limits

The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard supplies four M.2 connectors, eight SATA 6Gb/s ports and extensive USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 connectivity including USB4 Type-C. Two installed Samsung 990 PRO drives occupy two M.2 slots at PCIe 4.0x4 speeds. Builders needing more than four NVMe devices or additional SATA arrays must verify remaining lanes and port availability before expanding.

Pre-order compatibility checks

Confirm the Corsair 5000D FRAME chassis dimensions of 520 x 245 x 520 mm suit your workspace and rack constraints. The 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply uses standard ATX connections; ensure your mains circuit can sustain the load. Dual LAN ports and rear-panel audio use Realtek controllers; specialised networking or audio hardware may require add-in cards.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2 TB or 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive for the OS and active projects?

The 2 TB drive is the first M.2 slot and the 4 TB drive is the second; both deliver up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write, so choose the larger 4 TB unit if you need more fast space for current work.

What does the Threadripper PRO 9965WX 4.2 GHz base clock mean for sustained workloads?

The 24-core, 48-thread CPU can boost up to 5.3 GHz with 128 MB L3 cache, and the 360 mm liquid cooler keeps temperatures in check during long renders or simulations.

How does the PCIe 4.0 x4 link cap the Samsung 990 PRO SSDs in this system?

Each drive runs on a PCIe 4.0 x4 connection, limiting sequential throughput to the rated 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write shown in the specifications.
