64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This workstation pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9985WX running at 3.2 GHz with 512 GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPU equipped with 96 GB of VRAM. It is built for professionals who need massive parallel compute and large-model GPU memory in a single desktop chassis.

WRX90E Platform Connectivity

The motherboard provides two LAN ports, rear USB 3.1 Type-C, six USB 10 Gbps ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a mid-board USB Type-C, a USB 20 Gbps connector, a USB 5 Gbps header, two USB 2.0 headers, four SATA 6 Gb/s ports and four M.2 connectors. Expansion beyond the installed GPU requires contacting the builder for customization.

8 TB NVMe And 10 TB HDD Storage

Two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drives deliver sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s over PCIe 4.0 x4, while a 10 TB SATA HDD with 256 MB cache adds bulk capacity. The 1600 W 80+ Titanium PSU powers the full stack, though workloads demanding more than 96 GB VRAM or additional GPU cards will exceed the factory configuration.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 8 TB NVMe or the 10 TB HDD for my active projects?

Use the two 4 TB NVMe drives for active work — they reach 7 450 MB/s reads and 6 900 MB/s writes. The 10 TB SATA drive is better suited for bulk storage and archives.

What does the 64-core Threadripper PRO 9985WX actually deliver in a real workload?

The 64 cores and 128 threads run at 3.2 GHz base and can boost to 5.4 GHz, with 256 MB L3 cache, giving strong multi-threaded throughput for rendering, simulation and AI tasks.

How fast is the PCIe 4.0 x4 link on the Samsung 990 PRO drives in practice?

Each drive is limited to the PCIe 4.0 x4 ceiling, so sequential speeds top out around 7 450 MB/s read and 6 900 MB/s write as specified for these 4 TB modules.
