Threadripper PRO 9985WX Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper PRO 9985WX with 64GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell 96GB GPU. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, dual LAN ports, and a 1600W 80+ Titanium power supply. The platform targets professional workloads that demand high core counts and large GPU memory.

Suited to AI training and large-model inference

The 96GB GPU frame buffer and 64 CPU threads handle multi-GPU scale tasks in a single socket. Buyers who need more than 64GB of system memory or additional GPU accelerators should look at multi-socket or rackmount configurations. The single-socket TRX50 platform also limits total PCIe lane count compared to dual-socket alternatives.

Sustained load on liquid cooling

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO keeps the 64-core CPU near its 5.4GHz boost during extended renders or simulations. The Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 delivers continuous 1600W with Titanium efficiency, so power delivery remains stable when both CPU and GPU run at full utilisation. Case airflow uses 120mm front and rear fans alongside the radiator.

Questions about this item

What power supply capacity is needed for the 1600W PSU to deliver stable power to the Threadripper PRO 9985WX and RTX PRO 6000?

The Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 1600W 80+ Titanium unit is already installed and rated for the full system load including the 64-core CPU and 96GB GPU.

Can the Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard run my existing SATA III hard drives alongside the 10TB HDD?

Yes, the board provides eight SATA 6Gb/s ports so legacy SATA drives work with the installed 10TB 256MB cache drive.

How do I verify the Samsung 990 PRO SSDs are running at PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds after setup?

Check the drive properties in Windows 11 Pro or use Samsung Magician to confirm read speeds near 7450 MB/s and write speeds near 6900 MB/s.
