It accepts any standard 1-5/32 inch mortise cylinder fitted with an MS cam. The unit includes a bolt holdback feature that supports two-way traffic when the bolt is retracted.

Backset 1 1/8 Inch and 1/2 Inch Throw

The lock installs with a 1 1/8 inch backset and a front measuring 1 by 6 7/8 inches. A 1/2 inch throw extends the latchbolt into the strike, which is 4.63 inches long. The auxiliary bolt helps prevent shimming attacks on the latch. Buyers needing a longer throw or a left-hand configuration will need a different model.

ANSI/BHMA Type 8321 Compliance

The deadlatch meets ANSI/BHMA Type 8321 standards for durability and operation. The holdback function allows a reverse key turn to retract the latchbolt for free entry and exit.
