OM4 duplex fibre cable

This AddOn OM4 duplex fibre cable uses 50/125 micron multimode glass with an aqua jacket. It measures 16.40 ft and terminates in two LC male connectors. The cable is new and intended for indoor patch-panel or transceiver links.

Suits LC-patched OM4 links; not for SC or MPO ends

Installers who need an LC-to-LC OM4 jumper in aqua will find the connectors match. Builders who require SC, MPO or single-mode terminations should select a different cable.

50/125 micron OM4 core/cladding

The 50/125 micron core/cladding size defines the modal bandwidth and reach of this multimode cable. Confirm that your transceivers and patch panels specify OM4 50/125 before ordering.

Questions about this item

What does the 50/125 micron specification mean for real-world use?

The 50/125 micron core and cladding identifies OM4 multimode fibre, optimised for high-bandwidth short-range links in data-centre and enterprise networks.

What does the LC/SC duplex interface limit in practice?

The duplex LC and SC connectors support two-fibre transmit and receive paths, capping the link to the bandwidth and distance limits of OM4 multimode fibre.

What physical space is needed to route and mount this 16.40 ft cable?

The 16.40 ft aqua duplex cable requires enough slack for its bend radius and panel space for one LC and one SC connector at each end.
