AddOn 7 ft Purple CAT6 Slim Cable

This AddOn Ethernet cable provides a seven-foot Cat 6 UTP copper link with male RJ-45 connectors on each end. The slim PVC jacket reduces bulk while the purple colour aids quick identification in crowded racks or desk setups.

Suits tight patches and colour-coded runs

Builders who need a low-profile patch for a short hop between a switch, router or wall plate will find the slender profile easy to route. Installations that require plenum-rated jackets, shielded construction or longer reach should look at alternative cable types.

Fits standard gigabit ports and frees space

The snagless clear-claw plugs protect the latch during repeated inserts and removals. Cat 6 performance supports gigabit Ethernet over the full length, and the reduced diameter leaves more room in cable managers or behind furniture.

Questions about this item

What devices need an RJ-45 port to use this cable?

Any router, switch, PC, console or access point with a standard RJ-45 Ethernet jack will accept the male connectors on this cable.

Will this CAT6 slim cable work with my older CAT5e patch panel?

Yes, the CAT6 specification is backward compatible so the cable will negotiate at CAT5e speeds on legacy panels.

How can I confirm the link is running at gigabit speed after I plug it in?

Check the port LEDs on the switch or router; a solid or blinking amber/green light typically indicates a 1 Gbps connection.
