Ideal for short runs

This AddOn ADD-3FCAT6-GN is a Cat 6 unshielded patch cable with RJ45 connectors at both ends. It measures 3 ft and comes in green, making it easy to identify in a crowded rack or desk setup. The cable is new and ready for immediate use in standard Gigabit Ethernet connections.

Suits tight, colour-coded links

It fits patch panels, switches and wall plates where a short green lead keeps cable management tidy. Buyers who need a shielded cable for noisy environments or a longer reach for cross-room runs should look at other options.

Deciding spec: 3 ft length

The fixed 3 ft length determines whether this cable reaches between your two ports without slack or tension. Verify the distance between devices before ordering, as the length cannot be adjusted.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 3 ft green Cat 6 cable or a longer length for my desk setup?

The 3 ft green Cat 6 cable suits short runs between a PC and a nearby switch or router. Pick a longer cable only if the devices sit farther apart.

What does the Cat 6 rating deliver when the cable is plugged into a gigabit port?

Cat 6 supports gigabit Ethernet speeds up to 1 Gbps on this 3 ft run, so a gigabit NIC or switch will negotiate at its full rate.

How do the unshielded RJ45 connectors affect performance on a typical home network?

Unshielded RJ45 ends work fine for standard home or office gigabit links; shielding is only needed in electrically noisy industrial environments.
