10 metre OM1 duplex patch cable

This 10 metre orange patch cable uses 62.5/125 µm multi-mode fiber with duplex ST male connectors on one end and duplex LC male connectors on the other. It is designed for Ethernet, multimedia or communication links at 1 Gb speeds in LAN or SAN environments. The low-smoke zero-halogen jacket meets fire-safety requirements for in-wall and plenum routing without conduit. Molded strain relief on each connector resists pulls, strains and impact during installation.

Sustained 1 Gb throughput over 10 metres

The OM1 multi-mode construction supports continuous 1 Gb data rates across the full 10 metre length without the signal degradation seen in longer copper runs. Fiber immunity to electromagnetic interference keeps latency and error rates stable when the cable passes near power equipment or dense cable bundles. Duplex fibers provide dedicated transmit and receive paths so full-duplex traffic flows without contention. The molded connectors maintain alignment after repeated mating cycles in patch-panel or switch ports.

Low-smoke jacket, no active cooling needed

As a passive fiber assembly the cable draws no power and generates no heat, so it adds nothing to rack thermal load and operates silently. The zero-halogen jacket limits toxic and corrosive gas emission in poorly ventilated spaces while satisfying plenum fire ratings. Because the cable contains no copper conductors it eliminates ground-loop risk between connected devices. The 32.8 ft length fits typical rack-to-rack or floor-to-floor runs without excess slack.
