Arista-compatible 10GBase-SR transceiver

The AddOn AR-SFP-10G-SR-AO is a new SFP+ transceiver built to Arista Networks SFP-10G-SR specifications. It targets network engineers who need a drop-in module for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over multi-mode fiber. The unit is MSA compliant and factory loaded with OEM configuration data so it initialises identically to the original part.

300-metre reach over 850 nm multi-mode fiber

Operating at 850 nm, the module supports link distances up to 300 metres on OM3 or OM4 multi-mode fiber. It provides 10 Gbps throughput for server-to-switch or switch-to-switch connections within a rack or row. The LC duplex interface ensures standard patch-cord compatibility. Beyond the rated distance the optical budget is exhausted and error rates rise.

Digital optical monitoring

Built-in DOM lets administrators monitor real-time temperature, voltage, TX and RX power through the switch CLI. The transceiver is 100 percent functionally tested and guaranteed compatible, so it can be mixed with OEM or other third-party modules in the same chassis. No additional software or licensing is required for operation.
