The iStarUSA BPN-DE110SS-SILVER fits a single 3.5-inch SATA or SAS drive into a standard 5.25-inch front bay. Its tray-less, screw-less design lets administrators insert or remove drives without tools. A metal key lock on the aluminium front bezel prevents unauthorised access to the installed drive.

6.0 Gbps SATA and SAS Interface

The cage passes data at up to 6.0 Gbps and supports SATA I, II, III and SAS I, II protocols. This single specification determines whether the rack matches the host controller and drive generation in the target server. Drives using other interfaces or faster signalling will not operate at their rated speed.

Aluminium Frame Heat Dissipation

Integrative aluminium shaping acts as a heatsink to draw heat away from the drive during sustained operation. An optional 40 mm fan can be added for additional airflow when workloads keep the drive busy for long periods. Blue and purple LEDs show power status and drive activity at a glance.
