Enterprise Switch for PoE Deployments

The ADTRAN NetVanta 1560 provides 48 copper ports at 10/100/1000 speeds and four 10 Gbps SFP+ uplinks. It delivers Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching with a non-blocking capacity of 176 Gbps. The unit supports 802.3at, 802.3af and legacy PoE up to 370 total watts. It suits networks that need managed switching and power for many endpoints.

Build Integration and Management

The switch fits a standard rack and connects to a console via RJ-45 or micro USB. Four 10 Gbps SFP+ ports free up copper ports for access devices while handling uplink traffic. CLI configuration and 802.1q VLAN trunking integrate with existing network policies. ERPS support adds redundancy without extra cabling. VoIP VLAN discovery simplifies voice deployments.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The 370 watt PoE budget represents the maximum power available for connected devices. Internal cooling handles the combined switching and PoE load under normal operation. Port queue policing and shaping manage traffic bursts that could increase component stress. Fan speed adjusts to internal temperature. The chassis is built for continuous enterprise duty cycles.

Questions about this item

How much total PoE power can the ADTRAN NetVanta 1560 deliver across its 48 ports?

The switch supplies up to 370 Watts shared across all 48 copper ports, supporting 802.3 af, 802.3 at and legacy PoE devices.

What is the non-blocking switching capacity when the unit runs continuously?

The fabric provides 176 Gbps of non-blocking Layer 2 and Layer 3 throughput, so sustained line-rate traffic on every port does not create internal congestion.

Which management interfaces are built into the switch for initial configuration?

An RJ-45 console port and a micro USB port are provided for direct CLI access and configuration.
