Product Identity

The Advidia B-57-V-2 is a 5 megapixel outdoor network dome camera designed for professional surveillance installations. It delivers 2560 x 1920 resolution through a varifocal lens covering 2.7 to 13.5mm focal lengths. The unit mounts on ceilings or walls and suits environments requiring vandal resistant and weather resistant durability.

Thermal Noise Power

The camera operates as a wired network IP device using Power over Ethernet for a single cable connection. H.264, M-JPEG and H.265 compression methods reduce bandwidth and storage load during continuous recording. Infrared illumination reaches 61 to 100 feet for clear night footage without external lighting.

Deciding Specification

The varifocal 2.7-13.5mm lens lets installers adjust the field of view on site for wide coverage or narrow detail. Buyers who need a fixed lens or a different focal range should choose another model.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the B-57-V-2 dome on a ceiling and what step is often missed?

Secure the base to a junction box or solid surface, run the network cable through the grommet, then rotate the three-axis gimbal to aim the 2.7-13.5 mm lens before tightening the lock screws — skipping the gimbal adjustment leaves the 2560 x 1920 view pointed at the wrong zone.

Which parts of the B-57-V-2 will need attention after a few years outdoors?

Clean the dome bubble regularly so IR LEDs reach the full 61-100 foot range; inspect the weather seals and cable grommet annually and replace them if cracked, and verify the PoE injector or switch still delivers stable power to the CMOS sensor.

What limits continuous recording on the B-57-V-2 during a long event?

The 1/64000 second maximum shutter can freeze motion but reduces light intake at night, so sustained low-light recording relies on IR illumination up to 100 feet and H.265 compression to keep bit-rate manageable on the network link.
