Six-hole classroom capacity

The AFMAT PSX2BL sharpens standard and jumbo pencils from 6 mm to 11.2 mm across six diameter settings. It accepts round, triangular and hexagonal shapes and stops automatically when the point is ready. Teachers and students can operate it with a single continuous push.

Sustained heavy-duty operation

The motor is rated for 7000 sharpening cycles without overheating, making it suitable for daily classroom volumes. A new pencil takes about 3 seconds and a used pencil about 2 seconds. The transparent shavings bin holds a large amount before needing emptying.

Corded 120 V 60 Hz power requirement

This model runs only from a US-style 120 V 60 Hz outlet and includes no battery or rechargeable option. Buyers without access to that mains supply cannot use the sharpener.

Questions about this item

Does the PSX2BL overheat or get noisy when sharpening pencils all day in a classroom?

The heavy-duty motor is rated for 7000 sharpenings without overheating, and each pencil takes only 2 to 3 seconds, keeping heat and noise low during extended use.

What power source does the PSX2BL need to operate?

It requires a standard US 120 V 60 Hz wall outlet; the corded plug is built in and no batteries or adapters are included.

Will the PSX2BL accept the older hexagonal and jumbo pencils I already have?

Yes — the six-hole dial fits round, triangular and hexagonal pencils from 6 mm up to 11.2 mm, covering most standard and jumbo sizes.
