For content creators on iPhone 15 Pro and newer

The AGI EDM38 1TB portable SSD connects via USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 and attaches magnetically to compatible iPhones. It supports ProRes 4K recording at up to 120fps directly to the drive. The Type-C interface works with Windows, Mac, smartphones and tablets for plug-and-play use.

Magnetic mount and driver-free setup

The drive snaps onto MagSafe-equipped iPhones without clips or adhesives. On computers and other devices it appears as a standard mass-storage device with no drivers required. The only common issue is that older USB ports limit the quoted 2050 MBps read and 1800 MBps write speeds.

1TB capacity for high-bitrate video

One terabyte holds many minutes of ProRes 4K 60fps or 120fps footage before offload is needed. Sequential transfers of large image batches or 4K video files complete quickly at the rated speeds. The drive reaches its limit when a project exceeds the 1TB total or when sustained writes fill the SLC cache on longer takes.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the EDM38 is delivering the 2050 MB/s read and 1800 MB/s write speeds after connecting it via USB 3.2 Gen 2x2?

Run a benchmark tool such as CrystalDiskMark or AS SSD on a Windows PC, or Blackmagic Disk Speed Test on macOS, using the Type-C cable supplied; sequential read should approach 2050 MB/s and write 1800 MB/s on a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port.

What accessories are included with the 1TB EDM38 and what must I provide myself to use it with an iPhone 15 Pro Max?

The box contains the 1TB EDM38 drive and a USB Type-C cable; you only need a USB-C power adapter if you want to charge the iPhone while recording ProRes 4K 60fps video directly to the SSD.

Should I choose the 1TB or 2TB EDM38 for ProRes 4K 120fps recording on my iPhone 15 Pro Max?

Both capacities support the required sustained write speed; pick 1TB for lighter projects or 2TB if you regularly shoot long 4K 120fps sessions and want more space before offloading.
