What the E36 recorder does

The Aiworth E36 is a 136 GB digital voice recorder that stores up to 9860 hours of MP3 audio. It targets students, journalists, lawyers and office workers who need a single device for lectures, meetings, interviews and personal memos. A built-in 800 mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 45 hours of continuous recording per charge.

Installation and common issues

The recorder arrives ready to use; all control buttons sit on the front face and follow a smartphone-like logic. A graphical guide and video tutorial are included to shorten the learning curve. If the host computer does not show a removable disk when the unit is connected via USB, the connection has failed — reconnect the cable or try another port. To save new files directly to the 128 GB card, open the menu, choose Save position and select TF; a TF icon then appears on the 2 inch display.

The specification that decides fit

Total usable storage is 136 GB (8 GB internal plus a supplied 128 GB microSD card), which holds roughly 580 hours of recordings at the highest 1536 kbps PCM setting. A three-digit power-on password with 8000 possible combinations locks the device; after three failed attempts it powers off automatically. Buyers who need more than 136 GB of onboard capacity or who require wireless file transfer should look elsewhere.
