Caster Wheel 450 lb Load Rating

This Zoro Select caster wheel carries a 450 lb load rating within a 300 to 999 lb range. The five inch diameter wheel uses polyurethane tread on a polypropylene core with a 95 Shore A firmness. Precision ball bearings and a 3/8 inch axle fit complete the assembly.

Suits heavy carts and wheelbarrows

Buyers needing a non‑marking wheel for industrial carts or wheelbarrows will find the firm polyurethane tread and included spanner bushing convenient. Those who require a different hub length, axle size or a softer tread compound should look at other options.

Check axle diameter and hub clearance

Verify that your equipment accepts a 3/8 inch axle and a 1 3/4 inch hub length before ordering. Confirm the wheel width and diameter match the fork or bracket dimensions on your existing cart. Ensure the load rating meets the maximum weight the cart will carry.

Questions about this item

What axle diameter must my existing cart or wheelbarrow have to fit the 3/8 in axle size of this caster wheel?

Your cart or wheelbarrow needs a 3/8 in axle to match the wheel's bore; the included spanner bushing helps secure the wheel on that axle.

Will the polyurethane tread with 95 Shore A hardness mark the concrete floor in my garage?

The wheel is specified as non-marking, so the polyurethane tread should not leave marks on concrete or other hard surfaces.

How can I confirm the wheel rolls smoothly and supports the 450 lb load rating after installation?

Spin the wheel by hand to check for free rotation of the precision ball bearing, then load the cart up to 450 lb and verify it moves without binding or excessive deflection.
